On April 3, 2025, the First Friday Club of Cleveland invited Sr. Susan Durkin, OSU to discuss the Women Religious Archives Collaborative. Sr. Susan is the Executive Director & Co-Founder of this innovative project, and the Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine are proud supporting members.
Srs. Kathy Andrews, Miriam Erb, and Jane Lab attended the event, along with our archivist, Marissa Ortosky-Dorantes. Sr. Susan described the need for WRAC, and the organizations mission to preserve, protect, and share the archival holdings of its participating members. To date, over 40 women religious congregations will entrust their archives to WRAC.
Groundbreaking for WRAC’s state-of-the art Heritage Center will be held later this spring. The building will boast an archival storage vault, space for dynamic programming, exhibitions, meeting space, research, and more. The Heritage Center is set to open in 2026.
