Sister Carol Kandiko entered the Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine in 1959. Her first ministry was as a science and math teacher at St. Augustine Academy in Lakewood. From there she moved into parish ministry leading high school PSR at Lakewood parishes, adult education at St. Paul parish in Akron, St Leo parish in Parma, St. Bernard parish in Akron and Our Lady of Guadalupe in Macedonia. After getting a master’s degree in Spirituality at Aquinas Institute of Theology in St. Louis, Missouri, she led Adult Spiritual Education at Crown Point in Bath, an organic farm run by the Sisters of St. Dominic. She was one of a team who began Centering Space in 2003 back in Lakewood, spending 20 years building this ministry of listening to the Spirit and inviting others to do the same. Currently she resides at Centering Space with the title Director Emerita. She delights in living and sharing the CSA charism of hospitality with all who come and experiencing the power of the Holy Spirit through the variety of folks who come and grow together.
