My ministry as Vice President for Mission and Ministry at St. Vincent Charity Health and Healing Hub (SVCHHH) began in April of 2014. There are many facets to my role, but central to what I do is to try and live the CSA charism, bringing compassionate and loving care to all I encounter. Other important aspects of my ministry include working with the Senior Vice President for Mission and Ministry at the CSA Health System to conduct mission education and focus groups; providing staff education; coordinating events; doing monthly “In Remembrance” prayer services; recognizing the diversity of religion and culture; and attending all hospital functions. As St. Vincent has changed over the last two years, I am concentrating more on outreach programs like Mission Kitchen, designed to serve hot meals, produce, canned goods and clothing to the Central Neighborhood. My hopes for the future are that SVCHHH will continue to serve the people of the area, especially the underserved and marginalized and be a compassionate presence for those in need.
